Your child may experience the world differently. He may have trouble paying attention in the classroom or stutters when he talks. She may eat only green peas – refusing anything else from anyone but you. Or your family needs help adapting to life with a child with spina bifida.

Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center helps you and your child grow together, developing new skills and abilities.

Our center specializes in treating children with neurological injuries. We make sure you get the best care from your first phone call.

Children are often referred by area doctors and clinics to our well-respected program. Polinsky is the only comprehensive neurological treatment center serving northern Minnesota and Wisconsin as well as Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

For children, play is “work.” Our staff helps children play, whether by touching and feeling through obstacles in our sensory processing room or learning cause-and-effect in our special toy rooms.

Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment, using the best technology available. Our occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, neuropsychologist and speech therapists work together, making sure treatment isn’t narrowly focused. Our caring staff also coordinates aid and resources from other agencies and community services.

Our speciality services include neonatal assessments and follow-up, sensory integration therapy, interactive metronome therapy, therapeutic listening, specialized speech/language therapies and evaluations for wheelchairs, seating and other adaptive equipment.
