Kineso-taping, Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release
KINESIO-TAPING
Kinesio-taping is a therapy technique based on the body’s own natural healing process.
A therapist uses an elastic tape to activate the neurological and circulatory systems.
Kinesio-taping has four main functions:
-
Supports muscle
- Removes congestion
- Corrects joint problems
- Activates the endogenous
analgesic system by increasing range of motion, reducing pain and inflammation and
improving blood and lymph circulation.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Craniosacral Therapy uses a light touch to monitor the rhythm of the craniosacral
system to detect potential restrictions and imbalances. The therapist uses delicate
manual techniques to release those problem areas and relieve undue pressure on the
brain and spinal cord. The therapy helps alleviate a range of illness, pain, and
dysfunction.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Myofascial release is a manual therapy that uses a whole body “hands-on” approach
to the evaluation and treatment of the body using direct, indirect and reflex release
procedures. The therapist manipulates fascia, which is a connective tissue that
covers muscles, organs and bones. The therapy can help reduce spasticity, increase
range of motion, prevent deformities and improve function. It can also improve respiration
and oral motor control.
